Matching Gifts

Did you know most employers with a donation matching program have us pre-verified through GuideStar? Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.

1. Contact your HR representative to find out if your company matches donations
2. If your company does match, you will likely need to provide them with a receipt of your donation.
3. If you have donated through Kindful, our giving platform, a receipt has automatically been sent to you. If you wish to receive another copy, please email us at info@sharinghopeafrica.org
4. Once you submit your receipt, your HR department or their Matching Rep Company will work directly with us to ensure your donation match gets to us.

And just like that, you DOUBLED your impact!

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are non-monetary donations made to nonprofit organizations. These nontraditional donations include the transfer of any asset, usually goods or services, and can be contributed by individuals or other organizations and companies.

Examples:

1. Goods – Physical materials that nonprofits can use to enhance their strategy in some way. ie: car, gifts for a silent auction, etc.
2. Services – Professional services can be given in kind to nonprofits that would otherwise need to pay for that same service. For instance, accounting services, lawyer services, graphic design, or web development can all be given in-kind by a generous professional.

In-kind donations are tax-deductible for the donor. The IRS requires nonprofits to provide a written acknowledgment for their generous supporters to obtain a tax deduction in exchange for their in-kind donations.

We are currently looking for the following types of in-kind donations:

1. Aquaponics Equipment
2. Solar Panels
3. Lawyer Services
4. Tax Services
5. Car in Mozambique, South Africa or Eswaitni
6. Tractor for farming in Mozambique, South Africa or Eswatini
7. Laptops & Phones
8. Documentary Creation Services
9. Venue Space in NY / NJ: open bars, brunch event, gala event
10. Gift Baskets, Gift Cards, etc. for future silent auctions!

   • If you select recurring, select the frequency

6. If you do not have an account already, it will prompt you to make an account so that we can send you your receipt.
